IN REMEMBRANCE

Our community is grieving. These first days have brought neighbors closer, sharing moments of sorrow and small kindnesses. Though words fall short, we face this time together.

Founded: 1878 (Mining Charter)
Mayor: Richard Wilson (1996-Present)
Memorial Fund: Established (donations being collected)

  • Principal Braunlow - School-related Inquiries
  • Chief Oggy Wilson - Police Department (555-2100)
  • Dr. Harold Caligari - Crisis Counseling Director
  • Charles Hayton - Memorial Activities Coordinator
  • Tom Brown - Community Connection (Brown's Grocery)
  • Jennifer Adams - Student Volunteer Coordinator
COMMUNITY UPDATES:
  • Dr. Caligari welcomes those needing conversation at his West Hunting Lodge. Trusted colleagues from Halston are assisting. For an appointment, call 555-4217.
  • Charles Hayton is planning a gathering at Town Square in the coming weeks, where we can share memories together. Details will follow when the time feels right.
  • Sagres families have prepared care packages with handwritten notes, children's drawings, and comfort items arriving tomorrow.
  • A remembrance space is taking shape at the Community Center. Art Club members will be present after 3PM for anyone wanting to contribute.
  • Brown's Grocery has a message board for posting what you need or can offer.
  • Mr. Snyder's farm is providing A$1 produce baskets so everyone can have fresh food during this time.

The Town Hall meeting will create space for community voices. Despite darkness, small moments of compassion light our way. Each gesture honors those we miss.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS:

Throughout Plainfield, quiet acts of kindness unfold. Paws & Whiskers Pet Shop is providing free pet food to anyone who needs it. Mrs. Garcia from the bakery leaves fresh bread on porches before dawn. The high school wood shop students are crafting memorial bird houses. Tom Brown drives his delivery truck to Sagres twice daily for families needing transportation. The library has set aside cozy reading corners with books about healing. Even little Ellie, age 8, walks through the neighborhood offering drawings to anyone who looks sad.

STAYING INFORMED:

Information packets are available at the Community Center, open 24 hours. The bulletin board lists resources and practical help. Sagres Tech donated computers for connecting with distant family. Computer Club members can help with video calls or emails. Quiet spaces await in the Center's east wing.
